Neeta Devi Agarwal (Ghiraiya), 58, has made an extraordinary impact through her lifetime of blood donations, totaling 57,050 milliliters over the past 44 years. She donates 350 ml of blood every three months and holds the record as world's highest female blood donor, with 163 donations to date.
Her journey began at 14 years old, influenced by her father, Raghu Nath Agarwal, a regular blood donor. His acts of kindness and dedication to helping others deeply inspired her, instilling in her a sense of social responsibility and dharma. As a teenager, she embraced the idea that donating blood was a way she could personally contribute to aiding others in need.
Interestingly, Nita's path to becoming a regular donor started with a more personal motivation. In her youth, she struggled with pimples and noticed that her skin cleared up significantly after donating blood. This unexpected benefit encouraged her to continue donating regularly. Over time, her dedication to the dharma aspect of her work became the driving force behind her commitment to this selfless act.
